eResearch NZ 2022

eResearch NZ 2022 (eRNZ 22) will take place from 9-11 February 2022 in Ōtautahi Christchurch and online. We’ll deliver an in-person programme at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha University of Canterbury (UC) with an online option for remote participation.

2022 Theme

Our theme for eRNZ 22 is Building capability together. Each word reflects the diverse range of perspectives, communities, and Mātauranga Māori approaches that are layered within Aotearoa New Zealand’s research landscape. Visit our Submissions page to learn more.

The submission deadline has now been extended to Wednesday 20 October.
We look forward to receiving your submissions and encourage you to invite your colleagues to submit as well. Contributions from students and early career researchers is encouraged!

Responding to NZ’s Covid-19 Alert Level changes

We are still hopeful we can host eResearch NZ 2022 next February as a hybrid event with in-person attendance in Ōtautahi Christchurch and online attendance for remote participants. However, we recognise New Zealand’s Alert Level restrictions and Covid-response efforts remain a dynamic situation. So, we’ve begun looking into how we may shift the conference to a fully online format if needed.

We’ll be making a final format decision and announcement before the summer break in December. We wanted to provide some certainty that the event will go on (rather than be postponed or cancelled), and that we’re committed to making it an engaging and memorable experience no matter what form it takes. Any changes to the programme format will be communicated to registered delegates as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please get in touch
